Privacy Policy

Your Privacy Is Important To Us

Safeguarding Your Information

Our policy for protecting the confidentiality of our customers' nonpublic personal information is achieved through the establishment of administrative, technical, and physical safeguards. Our employees are governed by our policies that include their responsibility to protect the confidentiality of our customers' nonpublic personal information. Employees are authorized to access or use the information we collect only in the discharge of their assigned duties. Employees, Management, and all members of the Board of Directors who violate these privacy standards are subject to disciplinary measures. We employ stringent security measures in maintaining the security and confidentiality of information submitted on our Internet site. Online access to your accounts is provided through a secure site. Secure Web browsers support encryption technology, which helps prevent unauthorized users from viewing your account information as it travels over the Internet. We practice the same measures of securing your personal information regardless of whether it is obtained on the internet or in person.

Cookies

During your use of the Service, our Internet banking Service Provider will pass an encrypted cookie to your computer in order to identify your computer during the session. This cookie enables us to process multiple transactions during the session without having to provide an Access ID and Passcode for each individual transaction. Users must accept this cookie to use the Service. This cookie does not contain any personal information, it simply provides another level of security for our Internet banking product. The cookie is stored on your computer's hard drive, identifying your computer while you are logged on. When you log off, close your browser, or turn off your machine, the cookie will be destroyed. A new cookie is used for each session, thus, no one can use the prior cookie to access your account. A cookie is a very small text file placed on your hard drive by a Web Page server. It is essentially your identification card, and cannot be executed as code or deliver viruses. It is uniquely yours and can only be read by the server that gave it to you.

Why are cookies used?

The purpose of a cookie is to tell the server that you returned to that Web page. Each time you use your computer to access that same website, the information that was previously received is sent back to the website by your browser. Most commonly used browsers support the use of cookies. Generally, for those of us that access the Internet through a public ISP, each request we make to a website cannot be linked to  previous request, as each request does not contain a permanent unique identifier. Cookies allow website operators to assign a unique permanent identifier to a computer which can be used to associate the requests made to the website from that computer.

Cookies and Privacy

Although there has been some debate over the privacy implications of cookies, it is important for you to know that cookies do not read your hard drive. In addition, cookies are unique to servers and are not shared among webservers. If you do not wish to receive cookies, you can set your browser to alert you of a cookie being offered or to reject all cookies, or erase some or all cookies present on your computer. You can also turn cookies back on if your login is not recognized. Just go to the help function on your browser for complete instructions. We do not recommend disabling cookies, as you may not be able to log in or use basic features on our websites. Erasing all cookies already present on your computer may also affect browsing on other websites.

Are cookies dangerous to your computer?

No. Presently, there are no known cases of cookies being used to introduce or spread computer viruses. Technically, a cookie cannot be used to access your hard drive. Your browser may save cookie values to your hard drive, but that is the limit of the effect on your computer system.
